Canstruction KC 2017: “Gotta CAN ’em All”

Canstruction Project

HMN is proud to announce our participation in the Canstruction Kansas City event to benefit Harvesters. We would like to thank our Gold Sponsor, Holmes Murphy for their generous donation towards our Pokémon GO structure this year. Holmes Murphy had a huge contribution in helping us reach 2,976 cans, making our structure come to life!

Why Pokémon GO for Canstruction?

Pokémon GO takes the virtual world and mixes it with our day-to-day life through virtual reality and real life adventures. In today’s world, hunger, like a Pokémon, is everywhere even though it is not always visible. The game encourages players to physically search in the real world to discover virtual Pokémon characters. Our sculpture demystifies the most celebrated Pokémon, Pikachu, and brings him into our world to remind us that hunger is everywhere even though we may not see it. Pikachu emerging from the phone and his virtual reality encourages us to not be blind to hunger all around. HMN Architects asks you to put down your phone and join us.

A Huge Thank You!
